This space needed to function as a home office, reading retreat, and kid-friendly hangout, but the existing layout didn’t support those needs. The room felt disconnected and underutilized, with no clear focal point or defined zones. While it had great natural light and potential, it ultimately lacked the functionality and warmth needed for everyday living.

The design focused on creating a cohesive, multi-functional space that supports work, reading, and everyday family life. A custom built-in anchors the room and defines the office zone, while a reimagined layout establishes a comfortable seating area for both relaxation and gathering. Layered tones, thoughtful scale, and durable materials bring warmth, depth, and livability to the space.

The finished space now functions effortlessly as a true multi-purpose room—supporting productivity, relaxation, and everyday family life. The custom millwork establishes a strong focal point, while the seating area creates a warm, welcoming environment for reading or gathering. What was once an undefined space is now a polished, cohesive, and highly livable retreat.
